About the Instructor: Kate Brodock

Kate Brodock is founder and principal at Other Side Group, an integrated marketing and communications firm she started in 2008 that develops digital and social media marketing programs for major brands.  She is also president of Girls in Tech, a global non-profit for women in technology and entrepreneurship. She brings to this course her expertise in working with clients to develop marketing strategies and content production plans fit for today’s digital landscape, bridging traditional and new marketing concepts.

Most recently, Brodock held the position of executive director of digital and social media for Syracuse University, where she was responsible for setting campus-wide strategy and policy in the space. She has also held positions with Bose Corp, Ignition Ventures and Priority 5 Group and was an active leader in the marketing and start-up community of Boston for many years, and continues to do so in Syracuse.

Brodock holds an MBA in marketing and entrepreneurship from Goizueta Business School at Emory University, an MA in International Relations from The Fletcher School at Tufts University and BAs in Political Science and History from University of Rochester.
